This week came and went in a quick blur, I actually had to look back on my calendar to jog my memory of this past week…to figure out where to start this post… Then I remembered… The craziness actually began all the way to the beginning of the month — when weddings, photo shoots, emails, blogging, client consultations, album designing, editing, more emails, client print orders, more album designing, and client phone calls pretty much took over my life… And my sleep…

Yesterday morning, as I waited for the day to unravel — I didn’t know how I was going to survive… Running on 4 hours of sleep the day seemed too much for me to conquer… With an impromptu photo shoot at my neighbor’s house right before day 2 of my photography class, some editing and a slue of emails to face… a family dinner… AND packing for my mini Michigan family trip…. I… Didn’t … Know… How… I… Would… Make it… when all i wanted right at that moment was sleep… To lay my head on my down pillow and curl up under my blanket… And to sleep…a long, uninterrupted sleep…

But… The clock didn’t stop for me… And somehow, I survived… And not just survive… It actually turned out to be an epic day… The impromptu shoot went smoothly… We made it to an awesome family dinner and visited with the good ol Newcomer clan… I managed to pack (though a bit painful with indecisiveness as always)… And day 2 of my (first ever) photography class?? Phenomenal!! Everything about it was phenomenal! My students (Regan & Alexis), our model (friend Perrine), the weather, and the lighting! All…of …it …was phenomenal! I really didn’t want it to end… We had so…much… Fun! And we all are looking forward to our final class next Tuesday…

And now, here I am… Sitting on a plane, thinking about yesterday— laughing inside…at myself for thinking I wouldn’t survive the day… And now all I want to do is replay the day over and over in my head… Minus the sleepy part in the beginning… Fast forward to the awesome parts… And relive the high I felt teaching… Shooting…capturing…and living a pivotal moment in my life… And doing what I love… feeling the passion surge through my veins… Knowing very well that I’m addicted… Addicted to life… And capturing every moment of it… And knowing the only thing I wouldn’t survive… Is life without photography…
