I just spent 15 minutes writing about all the things that went wrong while planning for my first bridal show… like the thousand fliers I ordered… that arrived on Monday– a day too late… yeah, it was a bit stressful last week… ok, a whole lot stressful… but hey, it was my first show — which just happened to be the biggest bridal show in south Florida, the Palm Beach Brides Idea Show… but back to the drama I was writing — I ended up deleting it… because regardless of what happened or what wasn’t delivered… when the bridal show arrived on Sunday… and the brides came in with so much excitement… all my worries… all my stress… and all that had gone wrong the week prior — completely melted away & slipped out of my mind… I realized, my fliers didn’t matter… this was about the brides… and about making connections…

The bridal show wouldn’t have been a huge hit without all of you awesome brides! I was completely blown away by your excitement & kindness! It reminds me all over again why I absolutely love being a wedding photographer… all the excitement and love of planning the biggest day of your life is completely contagious… and I love being there to capture every moment! So for that, I sincerely thank you!

Thank you Palm Beach Post for putting together an amazing show! I’ve heard how amazing it was before, but now I know first hand that it truly is… this was my first show, and definitely not my last! Thank you for all the hard work you put into it! And thank you to all the awesome vendors and people I met! I look forward to connecting with you in the near future!

For my husband…an open letter of gratitude…  Saturday he woke up at 4am to run a 1/2 marathon. Afterwards he ran errands & stayed up late with me to prepare for the bridal show. Sunday he woke up at 6am to set up… stayed with me, supported me & took a ton of pictures for the bridal show. And when we got home he let me do my thing on the computer while he cleaned up and put everything away. Thank you Dave for being so awesome! I wouldn’t be where I am today without your love & support! And without that first Rebel you bought me 😉

I also have to thank our friend Corey who got up at 6am to help us move my office furniture into the convention center…and to our friend Dan for letting us borrow your truck! Thank you guys! And Rachelle & Cassidy, thank you for your friendship and for the spot in the show… I owe you all sushi lunch!! Crystal, thanks for freaking out with me and for being an awesome booth partner =)

This was her adorable booth! She does custom, creative design — from wedding invitations, place cards, to candy bars… she personalizes everything for you — basically creating a personalized wedding brand… she’s all in all, amazing!
