Melanie+Mike = Married | St. Paul of the Cross Wedding | Jamilah Photography

When I’m telling a story, sometimes I get carried away with details (although my husband might argue that it’s actually ALL the time). I describe the color of the shirt the man walking across the street was wearing, even though it probably wasn’t imperative to the story. When it came to writing Mike & Melanie’s love story — well I had a bit if writer’s block. How do you even begin to tell a love story like Melanie & Mike’s? Their story was like a Christmas movie &  a Lifetime drama all mixed into one. There’s love, a tragedy, lots of tears, hope, faith & miracles – life changing miracles.  Last Fall, Mike was in a tragic car accident. Though the details of their life isn’t mine to tell, let’s just say that Melanie & Mike didn’t know if this day would come.  She didn’t know if she would be walking down the aisle to Mike standing there by the alter. It truly is a miracle that Mike is alive & well.  So you can imagine what kind of emotional day their wedding day brought.  And their love story?? A million times better than any Lifetime or Christmas movie I’ve ever seen! Mike & Mel — it was a privilege to have been a part of your beautiful wedding day.  Thank you for sharing your story with me & for making me a part of your lives! I only hope to have adequately shared a glimpse of the immense love & strength you both have.  I love you guys & I love your family! Enjoy reliving your wedding day through these images!

Oh Melanie… “gorgeous” doesn’t even begin to describe you as a bride…

Joyful & tearful first look with dad…

Such a handsome groom, waiting for his bride…

They opted for a First Look, where they had a special moment to see each other before the ceremony. (I may or may not have cried)

Love – them!

Sharp lookin’ fellas’…

I know — they all look like models!

Can you believe these bouquets were homemade by her Grandma??

This post could surely go on for days, but I’ll end with their ceremony… the beginning of forever after for Mike & Mel <3
