Welcome to my third installment of 10-on-10… if you don’t know what it is, you can read up on it from my 1st installment HERE =) For the month of October, 10-on-10 creator — Courtney decided we should all do a “Fall” theme… “What Fall means to me”… Having grown up in Michigan, this is my favorite season and would normally thrill me to do a post on Fall… but since baby is arriving beginning of December, I decided to skip the fall decorations inside the house and just go all out for Christmas as soon as Halloween is over… but back to the theme… since I now live in Florida, and the most exciting thing about Fall down here is the tiny shift in temperature — from 100% humidity to 60%… yes, this is very exciting! Lol It makes the heat much more bearable! So Fall for me is a state of mind, and it always takes me back to Michigan… I envision the colorful foliage driving up Woodward Avenue…wearing layers… scarves and boots… going apple picking… having fresh cider mill donuts…raking leaves in the front yard and then jumping in the pile… the cool crisp air… the anticipation of Halloween… Thanksgiving… and then Christmas… it’s just such a cozy season and I love it so much… since I can’t take pictures of my mental images of Fall, I grabbed shots around the house that were Fall-ish… I at least have 2 fall decorations =) At the bottom of the post you can go check out the photographers who participate in 10-on-10 and see what Fall means to them… Happy Thursday!
