I hope everyone had a safe and happy new year’s weekend! Today I’m joining the IHeartFaces peeps in entering their weekly challenge of their best face image from 2010. My entry is from a wedding we shot in North Carolina of my cousin-in-law, Jessica… looking back at 2010, this is one shot I always tried to capture of the bride when shooting a wedding… I absolutely love this angle… I usually have to stand on a chair, while asking the bride to sit below me… or typically, to squat right in front of me if the chair isn’t low enough — or if I can’t get any higher… It’s a little bit of work for the bride, but I promise them — it’ll be worth it! So having worked hard this year to perfect this angle, I knew I had to enter this photo for my best face entry… I love bridal beauty, and the simplicity of this composition… the lighting is immaculate, with a touch of rembrandt lighting… hope you like!
